Contra Costa Countywide
Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan
To make walking and bicycling safer, more convenient, and more attractive, the Contra Costa Transportation Authority adopted its first Countywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan in 2003, and updated it in 2009. The Contra Costa Transportation Authority is now updating the Countywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan to harmonize local plans for bicycle and pedestrian networks in Contra Costa, and to better understand where and how often people walk and bicycle in the county.
As the Congestion Management Agency for Contra Costa, we are in a unique position to make walking and bicycling accessible, connected, equitable, safe, and enjoyable modes of travel for all residents and visitors. We hope that you’ll stay tuned and check back here often to keep up to date on the planning process, explore draft documents, and provide your feedback and comments!
Please visit the Documents page to download the Public Review Draft Plan. You can also provide feedback on the Public Review Draft Plan using our interactive mapping tool and comment form, and view our Online Town Hall webinar. We want to hear your feedback, and any other questions/comments you have about the Plan update. We welcome your input!
